Food & Agro Conference

BNP Paribas is the initiator of the Food & Agro Conference, originally known as the Agro Conference. The first event for the agri-food sector took place in 2006 and has evolved over the next 15 years into an important annual meeting for the Bank with its clients and industry institutions. It is appreciated by the participants as an important platform for the exchange of views, as a good opportunity for a factual discussion and to discuss current and relevant issues for producers, processors, suppliers and distributors in agribusiness. Many appreciate the unique, objective and friendly atmosphere of the Agroconference.

In 2020, the Agroconference became international and the Food & Agro Conference.

The balance we have gotten used to over the past 30 years has taken a tremendous shock. Already in recent years, the COVID-19 pandemic and increasingly noticeable climate change have touched the foundations of how people and economic life function. However, from today's perspective, it seems to have taken place in a different, quieter era.

Russia's attack on Ukraine and the continuing war are shifting the pillars of world order. The food market is facing challenges first, responding, for example, to the interruption of exports from Ukraine or the movement of refugees to European Union countries. The effects of upheaval, however, are much broader, affecting us at every level and in every dimension of functioning: from playing the role of consumer to managing strategically the largest organizations or states.

This year's Food & Agro Conference is dedicated to discussing what balance is being shaped by the changes taking place. We are looking for what is most relevant. We pose questions about challenges and trends. We invite you to participate. .
